Morocco Bound is open 7 days a week, functioning as a workspace, cafe, and bookshop during the day. We run events each evening, which can be found on our calendar! We sell beer at all hours and have plenty of beverages to choose from, whether you’re here to study, work, watch a gig, catch up with a friend or browse the shelves.

Interested in hiring the space? We would love to have you!
Our prices vary, depending on your needs - we’ve hosted all sorts of exciting events, from birthday parties to album launches to creative workshops to company away days. We’re also increasingly in demand for filming for TV, film and online channels. Give us a shout and we can put together the right package for you! Please bear in mind that our evening events calendar fills up around 3 months in advance so make sure to get in touch with plenty of time.
Pricing philosophy
Morocco Bound is an independent business with a strong community ethos. We do our best to make our space available for creative endeavours at an affordable price for a central London location.
Our prices for private hires reflect the opportunity cost of us closing the space - Thursdays to Sundays are our busiest days in terms of daytime footfall and evening ticket sales and are priced accordingly. Mondays to Wednesday prices start from £450 for half day hires, although we try to keep Monday and Sunday evenings available at a lower cost for charity events or new creative projects.
For small workshops, book clubs or meetings of 10-15 people, it is possible to book out the back area for your event whilst we keep the rest of the shop open to the public. Pricing for this depends on the day but starts from £50 for a few hours on a week day.
If you are a performer (musician, poet, comedian etc) looking to run a gig that falls outside of our public programme, we can discuss pricing options that might include a small deposit or minimum spend, or potentially a ticket-split model.
We’re keen to help you make your event happen so please do reach out for a chat and we’ll see what we can do!
What’s included?
We make sure you get everything you need to make your event a success! We’ll make sure there are enough of our delightful staff available on the day to support your guests, and keep the fridges and bookshelves stocked with the right treats to keep everyone happy. You’re welcome to order in pizzas from our partner Yard Sale Pizza, or we can work with one of our lovely local Bermondsey suppliers to cater your event. If you have any additional requirements, please do discuss it with us.
We do ask that drinks are not brought in from outside as we pride ourselves on providing locally sourced beers, wine, soft drinks and coffee. If you’d like to provide drinks for your guests we’d be happy to organise a bar tab that can be added to the invoice or settled at the end of your event.
Capacity
If you’ve ever popped in you’ll know we’re a flexible events space, so we can accommodate varying numbers of people depending on your requirements.
Typically our capacity would be:
60 people standing for a party
45 seated for a gig / performance
20 seated at tables for a workshop or meal
