Pardesi is a global community designed to celebrate, empower and amplify the voices of South Asian women worldwide.
In July 2022, Pardesi hosted their first poetry and music open mic at Morocco Bound, featuring incredible emotional and personal poetry from experienced and first-time performers, as well as music in a range of styles, plus headliners Asana and Nush.
Three months later, Pardesi returned to Morocco Bound for an evening of community building while upcycling glass bottles with paints and colour, giving life back to reusable waste. This was accompanied by an informal open mic and a henna artist.
The feeling of support and community at both events was something really special.
